With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Washington of Jamestown, South Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Shirley leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Mazyck, Diane Mustapher, Annette Hammond, Billie Williamson (Michael Giles), William Washington, Jr. (Barbara), Gloria Scott (Elvis) and Otis Greene. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of extended family members, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gethers Funeral Home - Moncks Corner (200 Grace St, Moncks Corner, SC 29461). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Liberty Reformed Episcopal Church (3822 N Hwy 17A S, Jamestown, SC 29453). A burial was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at the Washington Memorial Cemetery.
