With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Samuel Hammond of James Island, South Carolina, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on September 11, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Samuel Hammond and Elizabeth Hammond; his wife Marcela; his daughters, Dava Cox of Columbia, SC and Chelsey Hammond of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Peyton and Alex; and his siblings, Patricia of Rome, GA, Crockett (Debbie) of Columbia, SC, Chris (Cindy) of Tifton, GA, Steven of Elijay, GA, Lloyd (Nancy) of Statesboro, GA and Grant (Chalice Debra) of Mobile, AL. He was also cherished by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
