Riki Megan Dewet (Seal) was born July 17, 1994. At only 27 years old this young gentle blue butterfly left our lives unexpectedly on February 24, 2022. Riki was born in Rhinebeck, NY and passed away in Charleston, SC.

She was an incredibly beautiful, witty and a kind hearted person. How cliche to say a person’s smile lit up the room, but truly she had one that almost knocked you down.

She was hilarious in one of those off the wall ways that would start a chain reaction of laughter, and was a trendsetter of quirky words that made their way in to everyone's vocabulary. Her deep intellectual conversations would leave you stunned contemplating about life and the real meaning of its purpose.

She was a uniquely shy, moon child who took forever to get to know, and was impossible to forget.

She naturally commanded the room when she entered, then immediately found the nearest corner to hide in, so she could intently observe both the atmosphere and the people in it. She had an independent confident, unstoppable wanderlust, but also enjoyed being home, binge watching unusual mind bending movies.

Riki is survived by her spouse Imiel Dewet, her parents: Terry and Cathe Gordon: sisters: Chareece Brigman, and Elyse Brigman: Stepsisters, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Riki is predeceased by her Grandfathers: Robert John Calculli and Sylvester Seal, Uncle: Robert Frank Calculli, Aunt: Roberta Snyder

When she was little we would kiss her goodnight and tell each other: “Love you to infinity & beyond plus 1 more day- just in case infinity wasn’t forever.”

We are and will always be incomplete because of her passing.
