She is survived by: her daughter Sonya Whaley Simmons (Thomas); her grandchildren, Shayla Simmons, Tayla Simmons and Thomas Ross Simmons; and her siblings, Henry Brown (Carol) and Sally Brown. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
