It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathryn Colbert Baird Smith of James Island, South Carolina, who passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest A. Colbert and Lucille Colbert; her husband James O. Baird; her grandfather George Smith; her children, Doug Baird and Norma Sue Baird; and her daughter-in-law Polly Baird (Stan).
She is survived by: her children, Stan (Shana) of Wadmalaw Island, Chuck (Judith) of Southport, NC and Karen Carter (Bobby) of James Island; and her grandchildren, Chassity, Jason, Lora, Brock and Kari. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
