She was predeceased by: her parents, Trannie Bell McKelvey Moore and Joseph Mikell; her siblings, Benjamin McKelvey Jr., Jerome "Deet" Mikell, Benjamin Green, Nathaniel Mikell Sr., Elizabeth McKelvey, Rosa "Sista" Mikell-Jewell and Judy Washington; and her sisters-in-law, Juanita "Lisa" McKelvey and Mildred "Louise" McKelvey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly J. Jenkins, Katrena R. Hanks and Alexis N. Chavarry (Alexander); her grandchildren, Tony Jenkins, Jr., KeShana Jenkins, Anthony Chavarry and Miss Alaina Chavarry; her great grandchild Master Isaiah Diggs; her siblings, Sylvia Waymer (Isadore), Terri McKelvey Aiken, Evelyn Nelson, Douglas McKelvey, Anthony McKelvey (Leomy), Andrew McKelvey (Evangeline), Joseph Mikell, III, Daniel Mikell, Francis "Clifford" Mikell, William Mikell and James "David" Mikell (Lorna); her aunts, Burnell Layfette, Inell Daniels, Anna M. Fludd and Louise M. Dent; her uncle Amos Mikell (Elizabeth); and her close friends, Carol Backman, Anna B. Johnson Gilliard, Mamie Bligen, Doris Cooper and Henriette Johnson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
