It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Renau Lucas of James Island, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Renau and Georgie Keen Renau; and her brothers, Joseph, John, George, Harry and Frank Renau.
She is survived by: her husband Joe; her children, Joe Lucas (Wendy), Mary Ellen Lucas Bivens (Tommy), Teresa Lucas Pitts (Reid) and Linda Gaddy; her grandchildren, Cameron McLain, Jason Menard and Haley Pitts Ex-Lubeskie; her great grandchildren, Daniela Ardaji, Ryder Menard and Teegan Menard; and her sister Mary Renau of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
