He was predeceased by: his parents, James Grover Sanders, Sr. and Daisy Weekley Sanders; and his siblings, Lois Logan and Jimmy Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Helen G. Sanders; his sons, Ell Sanders, Jr. (Debbie) of Eutawville, SC and Greg Sanders (Melissa) of James Island, SC; and his grandchildren, Cole, Virginia Hays, Gregory, Elliott and Jane McCrae. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
