She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Jake Brown (Captain) and Cecelia Brown; her sister Arleen; her children, Malachi Brown, Katherine Pinckney (Thomas), Audrey Pinkney and Joseph Brown (Glenora); her grandchildren, Victor Keith Hill, Layton Brown, Joseph C. Brown (Regina), Robyn Brown and Rachel Brown; her great grandchild Joseph C. Brown Jr; her stepgreat-grandson Demar Kilgore; her sister Flora Brown; and also Thomas. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
