He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Edgar, Sr. Stone; his wife Agnes Stroman Stone; his stepmother Patsy Stone of Moncks Corner; his siblings, George Stone (Lynn) of Waxhaw, NC, Amy Spell (Steve Summers) of Branchville and Joel T. Stone (Kathy) of Charleston; and his children, Scott Stone (Tammy) of Walterboro, Debbie Kearns (Eddie) of Summerville, Andy Stone (Laura) of Walterboro, DeeDee Shirley (Aaron) of James Island and Jeffrey Stone (Victoria Epstein) of Johns Island.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home (1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston, SC 29407). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. James Anglican Church (1101 Camp Rd, Charleston, SC 29412).
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Charleston Elks Lodge 242, 1113 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston SC 29407, to benefit the Alzheimer's Research Fund (please reference Alzheimers in your donation).
