He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne Saari and Margaret Brown Saari Sinclair. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Uzzell Saari; and his brother John A. Sinclair of Texas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital and Hospice of Charleston.
