It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Schumpert Cason of Jackson, South Carolina, born in Williston, South Carolina, who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Darril Schumpert and Verna Owens Schumpert Tisdale; and her daughter Donna Lynn Johnson. She is survived by: her husband Earl Cason; her children, John Byne Blount, III (Stacy Key), James Darril Blount and Shannon R. Cason (Chris Brown); and her sisters, Kathryn Wessinger and Yvonne Chudd (James).
