He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Patterson and Ruby Patterson; his wife Lila Patterson; his son Joe Kelley; and his siblings, Raymond Patterson, Aaron Patterson, Arthur Patterson and Evelyn Gladney.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Patterson, Marvin Kelley (Gerald) and Harold Patterson, Jr. (Anita); his siblings, Rachel Jackson, Pearl Frazier, Queen Bennett (Henry Johnson), Bettie Moore and James Patterson (Beverly); his grandchildren, Shandana Chitty, Maurice Driscoll, Essence Patterson and Christian Patterson; and his great grandchildren, Rashad Patterson of Mi, AJah Varners, Sharlene Taylor, Sophia Driscoll and Rylee Rae Driscoll.
