She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Albert Lester, Addie Lester Hughes, Willie Mae Lester Bolden, Cora Lester and James McLeod.
She is survived by: her sister Betty McLeod of Marion, SC; her nieces and nephews, LeMorris Lester of Johnson City, TN, Marsha Lester of Columbia, SC, Ronald Hughes (Jo Ann) of Columbia, SC, Amelia D. Hughes of Summerville, SC, Pamelia J. Hughes Baldwin of Albuquerque, NM, Ken Bolden (Angie) of Anderson, SC, Jason Bolden of Simpsonville, SC, Sean McLeod (Nichole) of Union, NJ and Adrienne McKay (Kariem) of Edison, NJ; her close friends, Raymond Timmons, Anita Stevenson Magwood (Sylvester), Valarie Stevenson, Nathanial Rowell, Sarah Brown, Charles Brown and Phyllis Williams; and her aunt Liza. She is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, and relatives.
Funded solely by donations from local community, civic, and religious organizations, the program ran for 25 years.
