It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mike James of Iva, South Carolina, born in Abbeville, South Carolina, who passed away on July 7, 2024, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his spouse Jan Burton James; his parents, Alex Hoyt James and Corene Yeargin Smith; his aunts, Annie Maude and Ida Lou James; his granddaughter Charley Reese Beasley; his brothers, Joe Hoyt James and Alex Hoyt James, Jr.; and his father-in-law Truman Burton.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer James Beasley (Mitchell) of Donalds; his sister Karen James Jordan (Robert) of Calhoun Falls; his siblings-in-law, Alvie Kernells (Freddie), Kelly James, Tim Burton (Mandy) and Keith Burton (Crystal); his mother-in-law Mary Sue Marchbanks; and his grandson Carson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions, in memory of Mike, may be sent to the March of Dimes, 37 Villa Rd., B-123, Greenville, SC 29615 in memory of Charley Reese Beasley.
