Aiken and Frank Wright (Janie); her in-laws, Octavia and Wallace Valentine; her sons-in-law, James Golatt and Rev. James Bates; and her siblings-in-law, Evangelist Frances Youman, Hazel Valentine, Johnnie Ruth Cunningham and Wallace Valentine (Prudence).
She is survived by: her daughters, Zelma V. McAdams (Dennis) of Anderson, SC and Jacqueline V. Maxwell (Matthew) of Anderson, SC; her granddaughter Jada A. Bates of Anderson, SC; her great grandchildren, Xiomara T. Owens of Anderson, SC and AshLynn N. Owens of Anderson, SC; her grandchildren, Devin Beaty of Phoneix, AZ and Kiana Golatt of Anderson, SC; her sister Ada Donaldson (Henry) of Antreville, SC; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Aiken of Antreville, SC, Mamie Valentine of Jamaica, NY, Margaret Valentine of Jamaica, NY, Alberta Miller of Due West, SC, Lola M. Taylor of Honea Path, SC, Albertine Calloway of Due West, SC and Mary Ann Hadden of Due West, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. (1212 S Main St, Anderson, SC 29624). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rocky River A. M. E. Church (245 Rocky River Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720). A burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at the Rocky River A. M. E. Church Cemetery (245 Rocky River Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720).
