He is survived by: his mother Dorothea Smith (Dawkins); his sisters, Colleen Patterson, Kathy Lawless, Alison Pike and Laura Colby; his wife Nancy Smith (Mayer); his children, Meegan Insley, Alex Smith, Dan Smith and Sydney Kirchner; and his grandchildren, Isabelle, Margaret, Elizabeth Insley, Eva Smith, Hannah Smith, Riley and Olive Kirchner.
