She was predeceased by: her parents, James Nelson Wayland and Virginia Gore Wayland; and her siblings, Russell Wayland and Shirley Wayland. She is survived by: her children, Candace Leigh Clarke of Charleston, SC and Steven Wayne Clark, Sr.; and her grandson Steven Wayne Clarke, Jr..
