She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Angus Polk and Gertrude Gibson Polk Crosby; her sons, Rodney Paul Murdaugh (Brandi Bazzel Murdaugh) of Islandton and Archie Todd Murdaugh of Islandton; and her brothers, Philip A. Polk and Everette R. Polk.
She is survived by: her spouse Milton Paul "Buddy" Murdaugh; her grandson Austin Paul Murdaugh; her aunts and uncles, Valarie Hiers, Loraine Priester, Henry Gibson and Norman Gibson; and her siblings-in-law, Bruce Murdaugh (Cheryl), Faye Johnson Polk and Dorothy Lawhon Polk. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed in her memory to: Rice Patch Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 15246 Sniders Highway, Islandton, South Carolina 29929.
