It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Homer Murdaugh of Islandton, South Carolina, who passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson Murdaugh and Suzanne Sineath Murdaugh; his wife Carolyn Murdaugh; his sister Jeanette; and his brother-in-law Norman Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Wright (Melvin) of Felton, Scott Murdaugh (Ann) of Walterboro, Steven Murdaugh (Valerie) of Walterboro and Sandra Polk (Jerry) of Walterboro. He is also survived by many step-children and step-grand-children.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requests that memorials be made in his memory to either the Rice Patch Christian Church in Islandton, or the Colleton County Citadel Club.
