With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Stuart Arthur Thompson (Irmo, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Stuart Arthur left this world on January 6, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Graham Thompson and Florence Thompson; and his brother Marshall Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Claire; his grandchildren, Christina, Paul Howell, Olivia and Lila; his children, Angie, Bill Neal, Sullivan, McKenzie, Rob, Beth Thompson, Lily and Graham; his in-laws, Bobby, Gayle Davis, Jimmy, Joann Franklin and Marli Thompson; and his family, Craig and Jane Duensing.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Riverland Hills Baptist Church (201 Lake Murray Blvd, Irmo, SC 29063).

I heard him tell the story of grass cutting so many times and he was always so funny as he told this story. Stuart will always hold a special place in my heart. His laughter, jokes, songs, decorating, gardening, helping others but most of all, his love for the Lord. He was sincere in everything he did.
