It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Hirsch (Irmo, South Carolina), born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on January 18, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse George S. Hirsch; her children, Gordon Hirsch of Myrtle Beach, SC, Edward Hirsch of Irmo, Linda Ward of Charlotte, NC and Carol Hirsch of New York, NY; and her grandchildren, Hunter Hirsch of Charlotte, Hayden Hirsch of Myrtle Beach, Bailey Ward, Ross Ward of Charlotte, Madelyn Lawrence of Weaverville, NC and Connor Hirsch of New York.

Memorial donations may be made to the Columbia Museum of Art in lieu of flowers.
