He is survived by: his wife Cathy Monninger Dowden; his children, Michelle Kaye Dowden of Oceanside, NY and Eric Kenneth Dowden (Lisa) of Irmo; his grandchildren, Kara Hoffman, Austin Dowden Alarie, Gabriel Dowden, Evan Cohen, Emma Cohen and Olivia Dowden; and his brother Kevin Dowden of Indianapolis.
