She was predeceased by : her parents, Morris Lancaster and Willie Mae Lancaster of Pauline, SC.. She is survived by : her husband John David Monts; her sons, Glenn Monts of Atlanta, GA and Clay Monts (Carmen) of Chapin, SC; her grandchildren, Ellie and Dylan Monts of Chapin, SC.; her siblings, Jenny Toney (Barry) of Spartanburg, SC, Marshall Holder (Phyllis) of Pauline, SC and Thomas Lancaster (Katie) of Pauline, SC; and her sister-in-law Debra Ailes of Irmo, SC. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Monday, July 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Salem United Methodist Church (1321 Salem Church Rd, Irmo, SC 29063).
