He was predeceased by: his parents, Finous Coleman and Edna Spires Coleman; and his wife Jeanie Mitchell Coleman. He is survived by: his children, James "Jay" Ronald Coleman, Jr., Carol Coleman Bennett (Tim) and Suzanne Coleman Jones (Fort); his grandchildren, Carly Sawyer (Sam), Coleman Bennett, Caroline Bennett, Sarah Gray Jones, Malcolm Jones, James "Jack" Coleman, III and Bryant Coleman; his great grandchild Isla Gray Sawyer; his sister Alicia Pope (Bill); and his caregivers, Hunter, Hannah and Telisa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Andrews Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrews Baptist Church, 230 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29210.
