With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Edward Carter of Irmo, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Blakely (Chris) of Columbia, SC and Kevin Carter (Darlene) of Amitville; and his sister Frances Melvin of Elizabethtown, NC. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter.
Viewing was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church (1604 White Plains Church Rd, Clarkton, NC 28433). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
