We are sad to announce that on April 6, 2024, at the age of 82, David J. Wells of Irmo, South Carolina, born in Teachey, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David James Wells, Sr. and Annie Katherine Forlaw; and his sister Peggy Wells Pope. He is survived by: his wife Kay Daniel; his children, Sarah Wells Turbeville (Joey), Amy Wells Barczak (Chris) and David James Wells, III (Joy); his sisters, Mary Alice Scott (Joe Hart) and Arline Fabsitz (Rich); his grandchildren, Wesley Turbeville (Kinley), Emily Kay Kirkman (Bradley), Manning Turbeville, Hunter DesChamps, Wells DesChamps, Sarah Wallace DesChamps, David James Wells, IV, Gray Wells and Mary Wells; and his great grandchildren, Ford Turbeville, Whit Turbeville and Bridget Wells Kirkman. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
