It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Lars Larsen Sr. (Irmo, South Carolina), who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Larsen and Alma Bishop Larsen; his wife Merlyne "Mert" Thornton Larsen; his daughter-in-law Sharon Renee Baker Larsen; and his great grandchild Kage Archer Larsen.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles Lars Larsen, Jr. (Jamie) and James Karl Larsen; his grandchildren, Karl (Heather), Kevin (Kristin), Jessica Mitchum (Chase), Kyle (Courtney) and Justin (Maggie); and his great grandchildren, June Mitchum and Rheese Larsen.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Dunbar Funeral Home Dutch Fork Chapel (7600 Woodrow St, Irmo, SC 29063).
