She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Lee Pennington; her parents, William "Bill" Johnson and Bertha Johnson; her sons, Henry "Nick", Darryl Keith Fortenberry and William Douglas Fortenberry; and her siblings, Dennis Johnson (Dorothy Johnson), Joyce Ellis and Sandra Robbins.
She is survived by: her daughter Robin Robbins of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Kevin D. Fortenberry, Teresa Robbins Zavala, Liza A Fortenberry, April Watson (Andrew) and Heather Grace; her great grandchildren, Deziree Grace, Destiny Robbins, Hunter Watson and Kassidi Zavala; her grandson Mike Melton; and her daughter-in-law Laura Ann Stafford.
