With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Gerald Brockmeier of Inman, South Carolina, born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 28, 2024 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle McFalls (George Boyd) and William Edward Brockmeier, Sr.; his siblings, William Edward Brockmeier, Richard Lanny Brockmeier, Charles Bernard Brockmeier, Jean B. Melton (Bob) and Thelma B. Spake (Jack); and his son-in-law Tommy Southard.
He is survived by: his wife Anita "Yvonne" Brockmeier; his daughters, Lisa Southard, Lori Dixon and Leslie Harris (Chris); his grandchildren, Laura "Monique" Elliott-Chincholikar (Kaushik), Robert Brian Page, Jeffery Lee Blackwell, Christan Dixon-Pineda, Victoria "Tori" Domonique Harris (Davey Johnson), Kira Elise Southard, Leah Grace Southard and Jena Hayes Southard; his great grandchildren, Jacob Michael Stokes, Olivya Grace Grubbs, Mark Aiden Dougherty, McKenzy Leanne Pineda, Jackson Elliott Blackwell, Malakai Tracey Turner, Oliver James Turner and Amelia Elise Turner; his brother Terry Dale Brockmeier; and his sister-in-law Dean Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the J. M. Dunbar Funeral Home & Crematory (690 Southport Rd, Roebuck, SC 29376). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shiloh Memorial Cemetery (4040 New Cut Rd, Inman, SC 29349).
