He is survived by: his children, Sheila Tombs (Ken) of Inman, SC, Scott Garland (Kim) of Jackson, TN, Gene Garland of Boiling Springs, SC, Kay Dickerson (Bill) of Irmo, SC and Steve Garland (Karen) of Fort Mill, SC; his brother Thomas Garland of St. Mary's, Georgia.; and his grandchildren, Lauren Tombs, Tiffany Tombs, Bill Dickerson, Chris Dickerson, Amanda Ores (Marc), Nicole Bryant (Josh), Stacie Gregory (Jon), Jessica Hollman (Alex), Zack Fisher, Mary Kathryn Grubbs (Will), Maria Garland and Allie Garland.
