It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ray Downey of Inman, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on May 5, 2021, at the age of 51, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Thurmon Downey. He is survived by: his mother Essie Downey (McCraw) of Inman; his wife Regina McKelvey Downey; his sons, Tyler Downey (Brianna), Kane Martindale (Whitney), Kyle Martindale and Bryant Mann (Nicole); his grandchildren, Hayden, Brynlee, Carter, Chloe Martindale, Hagen Downey, Noah Mann and Rylan Solis; and his siblings, Steve Downey (Gina) and Nancy Burgess (Lloyd). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
