He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson and Maude McMurray Parris; his son Scott Parris; and his brother Bruce Parris. He is survived by: his spouse Carolyn Brady Parris; his children, Shane Parris of Inman and Michele Jolley; his son-in-law Jeff Jolley of Inman; his sister Rita Mason of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Drew, Logan, Daniel and Lynleigh Jolley; and his daughter-in-law Susan Parris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boiling Springs First Baptist Church, 3600 Boiling Springs Road, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
