She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewitt Laughter and Mary Raines Laughter; her husband Gary Clyde Thompson; her daughters, Donna Kay Fowler and Janet Lou Thompson; and her siblings, Betty Short, Nola Champion, Albert Laughter and Jerry Laughter.
She is survived by: her sons, Allan Thompson (Lisa) and William Thompson (Tina); her siblings, Dwight Laughter, Ruby Fortenberry, Barbara Clontz, Glenda Silvey and Kathy Hall; and her grandchildren, Krystal Isom, Ashley Petty, Shannon Sample, Misty Warren, Jessica Bullman and Brian Thompson. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
