It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie T Mathis Jr. (Inman, South Carolina), born in Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Constance Harriett (Skinner) and Lonnie Thomas Mathis, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carol Mathis (Fitzgerald); his children, Lisa Martin (Jerry) of Montana, Lauren McCarter of Pacolet, SC, Jill Farley (Tim) of Columbia, SC, Kathleen Himmelheber (Mick) of Campobello, SC and Devin Jonas of Greenville, SC; his siblings, Ellen Campbell of Coalmont, TN. and Wayne Mathis (Debbie) of Sumter, SC; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Jessica, Ryan, Alex, Logan, Scarlett, Conner and Alyssa. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
