He is survived by: his spouse Jewel Cornett Simms; his daughters, Tamera Grant (Derek) of Orlando, Florida and Angela Simms of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Christen Kulhman (Jason) of Orlando, Florida, Erica Grant of Washington, DC and Ryan Grant of Orlando, Florida; his great grandchildren, Jayden Kulhman, Olivia Kulhman and Summerlin Grant; his siblings, Jane Atkins (Ron) of Lynchburg, Virginia and Richard Simms (Linda) of Inman; his nephew Dale Simms (Tammy) of Inman; his niece Debbie Harris (Carl) of Maryland; and his great-nephews, Austin, Barak and Christian Harris. He is also survived by step-daughter, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
