He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Wilkins Tate and Lloyd Hoyle Tate. He is survived by: his daughter Angela Mize (Rick) of Boiling Springs; and his half-siblings, Donna Kay Keever of Rutherfordton and Marshal Rafford of Lake Lure, N. C.. He is also survived by four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and his very special friend.
