In Loving Memory of Joel E. Ridenhour; (03/07/1954-02/28/2024).
Joel E. Ridenhour, resident of Inman, SC, passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 69.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Janet Ridenhour, and leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Joel is also survived by his siblings: Steven Ridenhour (LaRue) of Hardin, NC, Sharon Bost (John) of Georgia, and Crystal Ridenhour of North Carolina, as well as his sister-in-law, Cindy Ridenhour. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Joel was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Ridenhour, his brother, Mark Ridenhour of NC and his parents, Rev. Ernest and Evelyn Ridenhour.
During his school years, Joel was an accomplished athlete, excelling in both football and wrestling. His commitment to excellence extended to his time as a member of the Eagle Scouts and his participation in the acapella choir. After attending Lenoir Rhyne, he went on to graduate with his bachelor's degree from East Carolina University in North Carolina.
Joel will be remembered for his quick wit, and for being a jokester with all who were fortunate to meet him.
A memorial service to celebrate Joel's life will be held at Inman Mills Baptist Church, 22 B Street, Inman, SC 29349, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 11 AM. The family invites friends, relatives, and acquaintances to join them in remembering and honoring the life of a beloved husband, brother, father, and friend.
