He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ann Donges Grindstaff; his parents, Jenis James Grindstaff, Sr. and Emma Daris Grindstaff; and his siblings, Billie Hoover, Bud, Harry and George Grindstaff.
He is survived by: his sons, Jim Grindstaff (Sondra) of Cincinnati, OH and Craig Grindstaff (Pam) of Inman; his sister Norene Lorenzo of Sarasota, FL; and his grandchildren, Alexandria and Joshua Grindstaff. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
