He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Tate and Bertis Mitchem Tate; and his brothers, R. A. Tate, Leonard Tate, Bobby Tate and Charles Tate (Bai).
He is survived by: his son Jamie Tate; and his siblings, Becky Tate Abernathy (Tommy) and William Tate (Tex).
