He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilda Harris Kimsey and James Henry Kimsey; his grandchildren, Jamie Barnette and Katie Barnette; and also Sarah Elizabeth Francis Kimsey.
He is survived by: his sons, Keith Kimsey (Monica) of Boiling Springs and Joshua Kimsey of Campobello; his stepsons, Jeff Lackey (Kim) of New Orleans, LA and Cameron Lackey (Sarah) of Snowflake, AZ; his grandson Mike Kimsey (Faye) of Cowpens, SC; his stepgrandchildren, Joshua Snow, Zachary Kimsey and Elizabeth Kimsey; and his great grandchildren, Henry Lackey, Josephine Lackey and Madison Lackey.
