She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Tobias and Vera Dawkins Coleman; her husband James Fredrick "Fred" Stevens; and her sister Louise Coleman. She is survived by: her daughters, Tonya Stevens and Kimberly Butler (Corey); her sister Beverly Cheeks (Jimmie); her niece Claudette Coleman; her nephew Melvin Coleman; her grandchildren, Rashaad Miller, Rashaundra Miller and Tierra Butler; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Henderson, Georgia Stevens and Eugene Stevens (Carolyn).
