With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Era Mae Johnson of Inman, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Skinner (Turner) and Judge Earl Skinner; her spouse J. B. Johnson, Jr.; her children, Margaret Kay Johnson and David Wayne Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, Aileen Bishop, Barbara Timmons, Ray Johnson and Hugh Cothran.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Donna Darnell (Terry), Diane Klinetop (Steve), Barbra Case (David), Rodney Cothran (Pam), Greg Cothran (Kathy) and Kenneth Johnson (Mary); her children, Lisa Fowler (Travis) and Jonathan Ludwig; her siblings-in-law, Thelma Cothran and Randall Bishop; and her close friend Lynne Williams. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
