She is survived by: her parent Ola Jackson Varner; her son Tim McDowell; her grandchildren, Angela Schlosser of Mooresville, Scott Buchanan of Boiling Springs and Brad Ellison of Asheville; and her great grandchildren, Scott Buchanan Jr. and Alex Schlosser.
