David Whitaker Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Whitaker of Inman, South Carolina, who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman H. Whitaker, Sr. and Geneva Muse Whitaker; and his brother Ken "Whit" Whitaker (Ruth). He is survived by: his wife Shirlene Whitaker; his daughter Edie; his son-in-law Dwayne Willis; his son David; his daughter-in-law Laurie Whitaker; his granddaughters, Emma Rachel Whitaker of Inman and Hannah Scott Whitaker of Inman; and his brother Herman Whitaker, Jr. (Ann).
He began assisting in the ministry in 1971 and became director in 1976, a position he maintained until Covid ended the ministry.
