He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brooks, Sr. and Eva Brooks; and his brothers, James "Butch" Brooks, Jr. and Chet Brooks. He is survived by: his son Andrew S. Brooks; his sisters, Pamela Brooks Bishop, Tracy Brooks Burgess (David) and Renee Brooks White; his sister-in-law Tina Apron Brooks (Deborah Scott); and his stepson Rick Hall. He is also survived by 5 nieces; 3 nephews; many great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
