He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Owens Taylor and George Taylor; his daughter Pamela Martinez; his siblings, Theodore, Claude, Roscoe Taylor, Oceania Evans, Lillie Wilson and June Taylor; and his granddaughter Amanda Martinez.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Wilson Taylor; his daughter Cheryl Pigate (Edward) of Inman; his brothers, Roy Taylor of Green Creek, NC and Stewart Taylor of Boiling Springs, SC; his grandchildren, Seth, Joanna Pigate, Syrus Pigate, Johnny and Samantha Martinez; and his great grandchildren, Hughston Perez, Cruze Martinez, Cameron Martinez, Bristol Pigate and Lydianna Pigate.
