She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Abigail Seay Brady and Howard Nathan Brady; her husband Henry William Downey; her grandson Brian Rogers; her siblings, William, J. D. Brady and Inez Fisher; and her daughter-in-law Sharon Downey.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Cannon of Inman, Kay Freeman (John) of Spartanburg, Joanne Houghton (Bob) of Campobello, Cheryl Rogers of Inman and Dale Downey (Cathy) of Inman; her brother Harry C Brady, Sr. (Peggy) of Gramling; and her grandchildren, Kenny Cannon, Jr. Amy (Dez), Marile Baker, Marie Johnson (Tony), Tara Gunter (Manie), Heather Houghton (Pablo), Heidi Anderson (Jori) and Cody Downey (Alexis). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.
