He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl F. Settle, Sr. and Sunie Hortense Seay Settle; and his sister Betty Joyce Settle. He is survived by: his wife Brenda West Settle (Spartanburg); his children, Michael Scott Settle (Spartanburg) and Melinda Settle Olds (John Robert Olds II) of Columbus, NC; his grandson Davis Austin Olds (Wofford College); and his sisters, Shirley Settle Sanders (Woodruff) and Nancy Settle Elder (Joe E. Elder). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (842 Mount Zion Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29303).
