It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Harrington in Inman, South Carolina, who passed away on August 30, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest J. Harrington; her parents, Colus Franklin Blanton and Willie Mae Johnson Blanton; and also Finley Wood. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Mary Jo H. Tone of Spartanburg and Rita H. Heatherly (David) of Spartanburg; her siblings, James Donald Blanton of Gaffney, Franklin K. "Bud" Blanton of Tennessee, Vera B. Phillips (Eckles) of Gaffney and Diane B. Sprouse of Gaffney; her granddaughter Jessica P. Sarratt; her stepgrandchildren, Rebecca Tone, Edward J. Harrington, Jr. and Amy Lynn Berry; her daughter Pamela Wood Sarratt; her stepson Edward J. Harrington, Sr.; her stepgranddaughter Rita Denise Tone; and her siblings, Frances J. Blanton and Charles K. Blanton.
